Foooooohhhhhh
Very tired LOL
Been up very early today which isn’t my norm haha especially after late night yesterday working online.
Superdy blurr in the morning. Suppose to meet up with the youthsays gang near LRT station, I end up in KTM station….. aiseh, what was I thinking?? LOL
Day 2 at Youth’09, someone must have read my post on my first day there and told me that the event venue wasn’t that small. LOL silly me… I missed out another hall to visit! So embarrassed hahahahaha
I followed the gang for awhile, then I kina lost them, so I went on my own. Since I knew what booth that I wanted to visit, it just took me awhile and I already got the information that I wanted. Registered myself for some exchange program to work in overseas. One of it was being a nanny in US LOL
I went on to the second hall (which I missed out on Day 1), this hall is much bigger than the other one, however it was quite empty when I was there (was I too early again??). The street basketball challenge was on. Battle of the band stage was just being set up. Modified cars were also being displayed at the exhibition hall. Bumped into a friend of mine, Saer Ze. Cute singer who also owns a boutique call OSIXNINE. I found a dress I kina like, quite cheap too at the fashion designer festival, sad that I didn’t had enough cash on me, sigh!
I went back to the exhibition booth, to 8tv’s booth.. Their camera team weren’t there yet as they were still having assignments elsewhere, so I hop on to gua.com.my’s booth and try out their audition. Surprisingly I wasn’t as nervous as I thought, though I feel I can do better :P It is my first try out at hosting. I guess I have a lot more to learn :D Second time speaking in front of the camera, I think I can be better the next time round.
Left PWTC around 1pm and head back to PJ as I have a 2pm meeting with the AES Society. Went back again just before 6pm hoping I could catch the last casting slot for 8tv before they close for the day. Unexpectedly bumped into Kevin (of Broken Scar). Great to meet him again, it has been so so long since we last actually catch up ever since he went to Aussie. Had a quick chat with him then off I go trying my luck for the casting slot.
When I was there, they were casting a girl. One of the staff told me the casting has been closed for the day. I asked if I could be slot in as the final last one, as I have been here the whole day and yesterday waiting for the slots to be open, but I was asked to wait since the camera team wasn’t there. Glad that Belinda Chee was just standing next to him over heard the conversation and told him to allow me to be the last one since they were still casting the final one. Yay! Thanks Bel! While I was filling up the talent release form, the feeling kicked in. I start to feel my heart beat race, cold sweat filling my palms…. NOOOOOooooooo! I am getting a panic attack!
I keep telling myself to calm down and get it over with. I did one in the afternoon, how come am I more afraid of this one?? Perhaps there was a ‘director’ there giving cue of what to do?? I stood behind the cameraman observing what the last girl was doing. She was interviewing Prem (of Fly FM). He was acting a character, sadly couldn’t really hear their conversation but bet it was funny because Prem’s look were like he is acting as a Trans +P
Finally it is my turn, the ‘director’ sat me down, passed me the mic briefly told me what to speak about. I was given 1minute to introduce myself. Then, he drop the bomb. I am given another 3minutes to host my own show, and Belinda will be acting as my guest. Less than a minute, I have to think of a show that I gonna be hosting, topic and Q&A for Bel.
Nothing came into my mind, all I could think of in that minute was teenagers (since we were at Youth09) and their interest. So I took the whole idea of Fame & Glory in this industry and whack out a few questions for Bel.
How did the whole casting went? I do feel I can do much better +P Never the less this is my first time experience on such casting. At least there are some improvement that I didn’t brain freeze (did a little when I do my introduction), do need to practice more…
One thing I realize that being on TV it isn’t that easy at all. When I was doing the interview, a few things came into my mind. My body posture, the way I was seated. My facial expression, I wasn’t smiling as much as I should. My hair was falling off my face. My speech, can still go slower rather than rushing thru my sentences and words. Pronunciation is very important so audience can understand what I was saying. Good preparation of work, to know the topic you gonna talk about and good Q&A questions. Constant communication with audience, not just only your guest. Keeping audience entertained throughout the show (tough one)…..
Much much more to learn! Maybe the GURUs here wanna give some advice? :P
Wish someone can tell me how I did during the casting, at least I can tell what my weak point is and approve.
Shall I try for radio next? Since I am camera shy hahahahahahahahahahaha
What a way to start my 2009… +P
